Manmohan Educational Trust ("MET", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit our website manmohaneducationaltrust.org or use our mobile application MET (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed), preferred language, profile photo.
  • Donation & membership data: amount, cause, payment reference (we do not store card numbers — handled by Razorpay).
  • KYC for 80G receipts: PAN, address (only when you request a tax-exemption receipt).
  • Volunteer / scholarship forms: details you voluntarily submit.
  • Device & usage data: IP, device model, OS, app version, crash logs, anonymous analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process donations, memberships and issue 80G receipts.
  • Operate your account, send transactional emails and in-app notifications.
  • Provide volunteer, event RSVP, scholarship and impact-update services.
  • Improve the Services through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
  • Comply with Indian legal obligations (Income Tax Act, FCRA where applicable).

3. How We Protect Your Data

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies. Payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers (Razorpay). We do not sell your personal data — ever.

4. Sharing & Third Parties

We share only what is necessary with: Razorpay (payments), our secure cloud hosting & database infrastructure, email delivery providers (Resend), and government authorities when legally required. No data is shared for advertising.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies / local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences (language, theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13. Scholarship applications for minors must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from App → Me → Settings, or by visiting our Delete Account page, or by emailing met9mumbai@gmail.com. Donation records required by law (80G, FCRA) are retained for the statutory period.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app and on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
